4 Reasons Not To Shop On Black Friday

Happy Thanksgiving! I just want to write a post quickly before you decide to shop on Black Friday! Oh, you may not know that I used to shop with my two small boys on Black Friday so long ago. Now, I’ve decided not to shop on Black Friday for some reasons. Shopping in the retail stores on Black Friday takes more risk, more customers and employees from any retail stores are getting hurt physically and emotionally. I believe that you know about that. I do not know if you have shopped on Black Friday before or not. In the meantime, I just want to give you a heads-up before you rush off and shop on Black Friday.

4 Reasons Not To Shop On Black Friday

4 Reasons Not To Shop On Black Friday

1) Dangerous Crowd. Ouch! I hate to wait and stand in line for the longest time (2-3 hours) to finally get out of the retail stores! Many customers push others with the carts crazily into the crowds, they end up getting hurt. Amazon Online would be great idea to save your time! Advice: Visit Amazon or online retail stores.
2) Black Friday Addict. I admitted that I was a “Black Friday” addict, I loved to buy Hp laptop or desktop from Walmart every year, they were great “Black Friday” deals! But I realized that it was not worth for me to shop because I currently have 4-5 computers and laptops. I have one Samsung tablet, my husband and two sons have three iPads with them. Most of our computers & laptops are working properly except they need to upgrade Windows 10. That’s good enough for me and my family. Since you are “Black Friday” addict, you may consider to check in with your finances and other stuff you have at home first before shopping. Advice: Manage your finances and check what you have at home first before you shop.
3) Customers Feud. Oh, crap! I had seen that many customers fought over some products before. It was crazily scary up there. Fighting over stupid products sounds very selfish. I do not want to end up there just like the movie, Jingle All the Way. I think that fighting over one amazing toy is not so important. There are plenty of wonderful toys and products though online shopping in order to save your energy. Advice: Find the matched products through online shopping with the Black Friday deals.
4) Family Neglect. It’s very sad that many families are not thinking about spending more time with each other. I had seen that many families went shopping with their children between 12 midnight – 5am on Black Friday. It’s very poor that the children must be tired and sleepy. It’s bad luck that the children might have seen toys when the parents buy for their Christmas gifts. Advice: Spend more time with the children and family first, you can shop later.

If you plan to shop on Black Friday, please keep yourself safe.

I totally agree. The crowds are enough to stay home and you don’t really get a sale. I notice that the retail prices are set twice as much so that when they say half of you’re still paying about the same.

I have never liked crowds so you will never find me out shopping on any of those days. I hunt for bargains year round so I don’t wait for these things

I’m not much of a Black Friday shopper…it’s just not worth the hassle or the sleep deprivation for me. And, like you said, a lot of the big ticket items are things we already have. I do peek around online on Cyber Monday, but the kids are in school and it’s kind of just to see what deals are available.

i can totally get what you are saying about family neglect in some cases. for me shopping with my mom and grandma for black friday are very special memories. however, this was only done with i was old enough never as a baby. it upsets me a lot that people will take their young children out to stand in line in freezing cold temperatures

I am not much of a shopper on any given day so worse yet Black Friday! Great tips for those who are more likely to go out and participate in the madness (in my view).

I do not like crowds, so I have never been out for Black Friday. I prefer movie night with the family or a good book. ?

I don’t participate in Black Friday sales or Cyber Monday, you don’t really have to buy a lot of electronics to be honest. Once in three or five years would be fine. You made some really good points!

These are all true. The crowd can be dangerous, that’s why I don’t participate.

I have never gone shopping on Black Friday and have tried to stay away from it lately, especially with some of the craziness I’ve seen on the news. I definitely agree with the points you made.
