Last three weeks ago, I had my period. I thought that I was supposed to have my period ended within five days. However, my period was ongoing so long time. I changed my pads in every one hour, soaking everything over my underwear plus pants. I changed my pants a three times per day. It was not fun! I started to get worried about myself. I asked my husband about my period, he suggested me to make an appointment with my gynecologist and checked in with my period and pap smear test. I really hate it! But, it’s important to my health check.
My doctor sent me to the blood lab, I took a blood sample. After a few days, I went to see my doctor and she found that I had small fibroid, heavy menstrual bleeding (Menorrhagia), and borderline anemic. She gave me the birth control: Provera (Admittedly, I didn’t want that). She explained that it could help reducing my period. I was skeptical with that opinion. So, I gave it a try and I took pills from the birth control.
In one week later, I worked on blog designs with my clients while feeling not very well. I was very patient to complete them. Unluckily, Provera did not work at all! My period was still continued. My bleeding had soaked.. Anyway, I had to catch up a shower, I was almost fainted and dizzy while bathing. My husband took me to an emergency, I was lying on the bed resting. An emergency physician had questioned me so many uncomfortable and stupid things. He told me that I lost 1/2 blood in my body that surprised me. He added that I could have been in a coma if I had not came to an emergency.
While lying in the bed, a nurse gave me two bags of blood plus I.V. that feed me alive! In my mind, I am ready to become a newly vampire, just kidding!
After I finished taking blood transfusion and I.V., we went home with a different medicine to reduce my bleeding.
….Whew… Today, I am getting better. I feel that my health is improving since last time I went to an emergency.
How exciting! I miss my blog here, I am starting to write my posts…
