Have you felt uncomfortable when you pray? Maybe you are confused or you have a lot of things in your mind when you are praying. And maybe you’d rather get distracted from God and turn to check with your Pinterest or Facebook. Or perhaps you don’t know what you are supposed to say properly in your prayer. Otherwise, you don’t know if God would listen to your prayer or not.

Wait… You are not alone, I have same problems with praying even though I feel awkward or uncomfortable. Oftentimes, I still have that. I believe a lot of Christians have struggled with their praying issue, though.

HOW TO PRAY WHEN YOU FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE

  • Confusion.
  • Frustration.
  • No Right Words.
  • Stress.
  • Anger.
  • And Other Unstable Emotions.

You notice that list of unstable emotions from above, remember that you are not alone. Many Christians are still wrestling with praying issue for some reasons. Some say that praying makes them feeling emptied. Some say that praying makes them feeling bored (It’s true that some say this, not me!). Some say that praying is hard. Some say praying turns them to be emotionally and mentally hypocrites. Some admit that praying humbly becomes a little difficult for them.

I have a few of my favorite bible verses (Matt. 6:5-8) to overcome my unstable emotions while praying. And you can have these bible verses.

  • “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.” – Matt. 6:5 (NIV)
  • “And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.” – Matt. 6:7 (NIV)
  • “Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.” – Matt. 6:8 (NIV)

However, the best way to pray is to talk with the Lord through your Holy Spirit and heart.
