Last Monday, my bible study group and I finished with an amazing book, Proven, written by Jennie Allen within 8 weeks. We had studied through the Gospel of John about Christ’s abundance that meets our essential need. My study partners and I learned a lot about the Gospel of John and our lives changed through Christ. Each experience was very simple, but it was a little bit complicated. Proven by Jennie Allen helped us understand about not necessarily being a proven person to anyone but Christ knows our needs.
Book Review: Proven by Jennie Allen
Jennie Allen wrote the book, Proven; she was a brilliant woman who had a beautiful heart for God, and she wanted us to come near the Lord once we studied the book. So here’s my pro and con opinions:
After 8 weeks of studying with my small group, These short stories from the Bible were good. All lessons were very simple, yet it was so difficult. It gave me a clear understanding of what I need for my life and relationship with Jesus Christ. God needs me to continue my relationship with Him because I realized that, in this book, it helped me to figure out how my life with God grows strong. Furthermore, I understood that God did not want me to feel empty or lonely. If I lose my focus on my relationship with God, He withholds His blessings for me. This book taught me not to prove myself to God because He did not need to know, but He already knew this before I was born. This book helped change the way I felt about my life with God. I was thankful that I could never be enough because I did not have to be. God loved me no matter what because I was imperfect. However, the author of this book, Jennie Allen was excellent, and she had a wonderful heart for God.
I admit that these questions from all lessons were a little bit complicated because I attempted to answer these questions which challenged my mind. It was not simple. It was just a personal feeling and opinion. Some ladies in my small group mentioned that this book was somewhat poorly written because they did not get what the author wanted them to do through studying the book.
