In the seventh week of our study, I am writing to discuss a brief summary of Faithfulness, which is a part of the 9 areas of the Fruit of the Spirit 9-Week Study. Yet, have you read these articles about LOVE, JOY, PEACE, PATIENCE, KINDNESS, and GOODNESS in the past weeks? If not, you can click to read these articles: LOVE, JOY, PEACE, PATIENCE, KINDNESS, and GOODNESS. So let’s join and focus on the Fruit of the Holy Spirit: Faithfulness.
THE FRUIT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT: FAITHFULNESS!
Therefore, Faithfulness, a Fruit of the Spirit, can be a moving attribute to have.
Faithfulness originates from a position of trust and steadfastness.
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. ~ Hebrews 11:1, NIV
As a Christian, it is imperative to be devoted to God. It is one thing to just have confidence in Him, however, another to be unwavering to Him. When we are genuinely unwavering to God, this shapes the manner in which we live. For instance, we can be faithful in our connections here on Earth and really love others.
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. ~ Romans 12:12, NIV
Faithfulness expects us to present our approaches to God. It originates from a position of understanding that we are needing a Savior and that He is responsible for our spiritual lives.
In the Bible, the story of Abraham proves the influence of faithfulness. Abraham and his wife Sarah attempted to trust the Lord; however, they had to learn the hard lesson about the sense of faithfulness when they humbly accepted Him without complaining.
In the story, Abraham and Sarah had a long time of waiting for God for many years in order to accomplish His commitment to give them a son. As a result of Sarah’s failure of faith, she demanded that Hagar as her maid, give birth to her son. In a troubling consequence in emotional torture and argument, Abraham and Sarah were willing to give up, and they ended up putting their faith in God, Sarah finally gave birth to Isaac even though she was an old woman. If you have not read the story of Abraham and Sarah yet, click this link here.
In conclusion, the story of Abraham and Sarah proves how God has blessed those who are faithful and trust in His plans.
Growing in our Faithfulness
We can develop in our faithfulness by having an individual association with Christ. On the off chance that we are really dedicated to Him and comply with His directions, this will be obvious in our lives.
My questions to you are this: Have you been thinking about the manners in which you demonstrate your faithfulness to God? Are there things that are hindering your faithfulness? What aspects of your life have you not offered over to Him? Through investing energy in the petition, request that God make these things unmistakable to you, with the goal that He can help you develop more maturity in your devotion.
Next week, I will talk a brief summary of Gentleness, that is part of the Fruit of the Spirit. I’m praying that you all would come here to learn some about this.

Joyce, this is a tough one. Faithfulness means holding the ropes and showing up for the small, unseen assignments. So thankful that God is faithful!
Thank you for this good advice on how to increase our faithfulness. I especially loved this line: “Faithfulness expects us to present our approaches to God”. I never thought about faithfulness in that way before. Your writing opened my eyes to something new!
