In the fifth week of our study, I am writing to discuss a brief summary of Kindness, which is a part of the 9 areas of the Fruit of the Spirit 9-Week Study. Yet, have you read these articles about LOVE, JOY, PEACE, and PATIENCE in the past three weeks? If not, you can click to read these articles: LOVE, JOY, PEACE, and PATIENCE. So let’s join and focus on the Fruit of the Holy Spirit: Kindness.
THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT: KINDNESS!
Half of the Christians in the world show their kindness toward others. Meanwhile, some are not kind. Do you know why some people are unkind? For these reasons, some people silence their kindness by hating others. Some people refuse their kindness toward others because they judge others or do not help others at all. Mostly it is because they hate God or themselves, so they want others to feel miserable as well, because misery loves company!
KINDNESS IS A BIG THING
This vocabulary word, Kindness, is an important part of the Fruit of the Holy Spirit. This word makes a sense of the virtuous characters as honesty, friendliness, loveliness, goodness, generosity, compassion, benevolence, humbleness, and gracefulness. It is the opposite of brutal, harsh, hurtful, uncaring, rude, disgrace, and dishonor. The word is hard to be shortly interpreted than it is to be fully perceived. This word is a big thing to be part of our Christian Character in order to obey the Lord and act kind to other people just like Jesus did show his kindness to others.
For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. ~ 2 Peter 1:5-8
BE KIND AND FORGIVE OTHER…
Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. ~ Ephesians 4:32
This verse explains that we, as Christians, need to be kind and humble toward the other, require to forgive the other in order to earn an forgiveness from Him. Being unkind and not able to forgive the other may be a serious consequence.
BE KIND AND LOVE YOUR ENEMIES…
But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. ~ Luke 6:35
This verse encourages us to be kind and love our enemies; we would earn the reward from Him. If we are kind but do not love our enemies, our spirits may feel complicated. Perhaps, our reward might be given to another or postponed. We should continue to practice showing our kindness and love others unconditionally.
Next week, I will talk a brief summary of Goodness, that is part of the Fruit of the Spirit. I’m praying that you all would come here to learn some about this.* Link-Up Party Will Be Released after July 4th 2019 (Independent Day). Thank you!*
