In this month, I’ve been hectically busy with re-building my new brand shop in etsy.com and selling a lot of handmade stuff. However, something has annoyed me unexpectedly. I’ve had a lot of coughs day by day, I went to my doctor and got prescriptions for my coughs. Now, I am taking my medicines which makes me sleepy easily and I have bronchitis. Somehow, I have to stay awake for a little so I can finish writing this here.
One day, my husband told me to get more rest and stay home, but I doubted it because our busy schedules were not stable. I had to commute between pick up and dropping one of my teenage son at school 25 miles from my house. While staying home, I read one of the articles about reducing holiday stress. I agreed with that. If you’ve been overwhelming yourself about purchasing gifts for Christmas or planning Holiday trip, here’s 4 tips to reduce holiday stress.
4 Tips To Reduce Holiday Stress
- Take a breathe and rest. Yes, I need that badly. I have to take a breathe and rest no matter what happens. Importantly, my health needs me to breath in & out recurring and rest. Admittedly, I have high blood pressure. I’d better careful and stay away from the hectic, crazy people in shopping malls and Wal-mart.
- Ask someone to watch your children so you can take a break for awhile. I have two teen sons who love nagging me every day. Sometimes, I have to lock up my bedroom door; that keeps them away. It doesn’t mean that they have to escape away from me or move out from me. My two teen sons understand why I need a break from them. If you have small children, you shouldn’t lock your door. Ask someone who can watch your small children while you take a break.
- Skipping traditional gifts, use gift cards. I know that skipping traditional gifts sounds little weird but it is so worth it. You can purchase gift cards instead of buying stuff from the crazy stores. Should you wait in the long line in the hectic shopping mall with a lot of toys or stuff in your shopping cart?
- Recycle the gifts. Be sure that you do not open the gifts that somebody gave you, you can just re-gift to the others. It really saves your time, you do not have to worry what you guess about inside the gifts. You have a plenty of surprise gifts later.
Hopefully, my post may be helpful. So stay calm and enjoy your holiday!
