Do you have a hard time paying off your debts? Do you consider limiting something at home like the cable cord? Have you thought about switching to cordless cable? If so, do you know how to find some ways to cut cable cord?
Why Should We Cut Cable Cord and Reduce the Bill?
That’s an excellent question! Let me tell you a short story why we cut our cable cord and reduce the bill. A few months ago, my husband and I were so frustrated with the cable, which was crazily expensive! We both discussed how to find ways to reduce our cable bill. To be honest, we hate the cable bill! My husband suggested that cutting the cable bill was the only way to save our budget. I told him that I liked to watch HGTV and DIY Network. I bet that you all love to watch your favorite channels.
My older son bought the Roku, which did not need a connection to the cable outlet. I was so curious to ask him some questions about how the Roku works. He loved it seriously! I checked his TV with the Roku, which involved Netflix, Hulu, and others. My jaw dropped in amazement! Somehow, I convinced my husband to get another Roku so we can both cut our cable cord and reduce our bill.
3 Ways To Cut the Cable Cord
- You can buy the Roku or Amazon Fire TV from Walmart or your local retail stores. It has over 200 channels, but the Roku has Netflix (if you have current account), Hulu, Espn Sports, CNN News, others. However, you have to pay monthly, but the monthly subscription fee is vrey cheaper! So you can check the Roku Stream for the Sling TV or Hulu subscription. Otherwise, you can find more information about Sling TV or Hulu through the Internet. To me, I have subscribed Hulu monthly ($29.99) and I love it! BUT, you can add Xfinity Comcast app in Roku if you have your current account. We have it, too.
- You can plug the Netflix Stream from your laptop to your television through the Internet if you do not want to buy the Roku. So it saves your money and your time. My husband and I share the Netflix Stream under his account.
- You can buy a digital antenna from your local retail store and set up this to connect to your television. In fact, I do not have this personally, but I heard a lot of people love this and they feel comfortable watching tv.
You and your spouse may have a good time to talk about how to reduce the cable bill; and you can figure out which is the best way to cut cable cord at home.
I’ve been really considering this. If we didn’t have kids at home, I would have done this years ago. Our youngest are going on 16, so they will be gone soon. At any rate, thanks for the tips.
