Bible Verse of the Day

But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.

I cannot help thinking about making the scones. Last November, my son and I went to the Starbucks and found that pumpkin scones inside the window shelves. I bought this one, the scone tasted perfectly delicious! Today, I want to make strawberry scones for the breakfast and save some for my husband and sons. And I use Grant’s Red Velvet Scones Recipe to change Strawberry Scones.

Strawberry Scones

Adapted From Grant’s Red Velvet Scones, Rachael Ray Show

Ingredients
1 16.5-ounce package Strawberry cake mix
2 tablespoon buttermilk, plus more for brushing
1 egg, beaten
Flour, for dusting
Sugar, for sprinkling
Grab the recipe: Grant’s Red Velvet Scones. But it can be your choice of cake mix.

 INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Let’s get to preheat 400°F. In the mixing bowl, combine strawberry cake mix, buttermilk, and egg. The mixture should be dry; however, if it’s too dry, then add a little more buttermilk. (For me, I added 1 more tablespoon buttermilk because it was too dry.)
  2. Press the mixture on a sheet of the parchment in the 10-inch circle (For me, I did make my own circle with my hands), dust with the flour and make it as a ball.
  3. Cut the circle into 8 triangular pieces. Place the scones onto a parchment-lined sheet tray.
  4. Brush the top of each scone with some buttermilk and sprinkle with sugar.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes.

In the meantime, I see that my strawberry scones have a little burned below since the recipe says 400°F and bake for 15 minutes. I think that if the preheat is 400°F, then the bake should be 10 minutes. If the preheat is 350°F, then the bake should be 15 minutes.

Enjoy your scones on Valentine’s Day! ~

These sound so good. I have never had a strawberry scone before, but they sound great.
