Most of you know that restoring faith in God is very important, we notice that there is much suffering in the world, right? But as a Christian, we believe that the Lord is always with us. Actually, we must face a lot of hardship in the world. Even though we can overcome anything, we must still strive to restore our faith and hope that He will come back to make a beautiful new Heaven, and bring us there when He does. I am writing about 10 verses to restore your faith in God and my short personal experience.
A few weeks ago, I lost my dear cousin to lung cancer. She was only 53 years old and looked so young! But the Lord had to take her home because it was her time. I was glad that she was a Christian and that she had a strong faith in God. Another thing I was concerned about was that I heard about 7 Marines and 1 Sailor killed in an AAV during their training. It got me thinking of my Marine son. He is currently in Japan for his deployment. I do not know when he will come home safely. Furthermore, another thing I am terrified about is the California Wildfires. One of the places was right next to my small town. The skies have cleared a bit in my area, but the fires are far from contained. It rained on Sunday so that helped some… bringing me to right about this. The rain proved the Lord is a omnipresent helping hand. Right now, it fades away in time the Lord takes care of this situation. Praise the Lord. That’s why I am here now and start to write again.
10 Verses To Restore Your Faith In God
- Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later. (Romans 8:18, NLT)
- That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever. (2 Corinthians 4:16-18, NLT)
- And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. (Romans 8:28, NLT)
- where they strengthened the believers. They encouraged them to continue in the faith, reminding them that we must suffer many hardships to enter the Kingdom of God. (Acts 14:22, NLT)
- He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. For the more we suffer for Christ, the more God will shower us with his comfort through Christ. Even when we are weighed down with troubles, it is for your comfort and salvation! For when we ourselves are comforted, we will certainly comfort you. Then you can patiently endure the same things we suffer. We are confident that as you share in our sufferings, you will also share in the comfort God gives us. (2 Corinthians 1:4-7, NLT)
- Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ and become one with him. I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ. For God’s way of making us right with himself depends on faith. I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death, so that one way or another I will experience the resurrection from the dead! (Philippians 3:8-11, NLT)
- I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33, NLT)
- My suffering was good for me, for it taught me to pay attention to your decrees. (Psalm 119:71, NLT)
- “If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first. The world would love you as one of its own if you belonged to it, but you are no longer part of the world. I chose you to come out of the world, so it hates you. (John 15:18-19, NLT)
- We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. (Romans 5:3-5, NLT)
